Trial IV
One question. No options.
No multiple choice, no safety net: one question, one search field, and the whole of Runeterra. When memory fails, a clue reveals four answers — at the price of half the round. Every correct answer feeds the collection of the champions and regions it concerns.

The Trials of Knowledge are a quiz about the lore of League of Legends, and the question comes with nothing to pick from: you name the answer in the search field. Questions are about bloodlines, titles, regions and the great events of Runeterra, and each one is checked before it is ever asked. A game runs 5 questions, and 322 questions are currently in play.
It does, and it is the only game that fills it for regions. A correct answer pays mastery points to every champion and every region the question is about: "who is Tryndamere's wife" feeds Tryndamere, Ashe and the Freljord at once.
5 ranked games a day count toward the leaderboard and full XP. Past that, free training stays open, with reduced XP and mastery.
From Riot's official universe, the champion biographies and the game's narrative events. Every question carries its source, and none is asked before it has been proofread: on an archive site, a wrong answer costs more than a missing one.
